The recently produced index run highlights the sucess of Dalby's breeding programme. Dalby Galactico's (PE 6077) progeny dominate the top ram lamb list, with 3 out of the top 4 being his progeny and of the top 50 lambs, 20 are sired by him. His overall index of 434 leaves him in the very top of the stock sires and he is the highest rated stock ram for muscle depth (6.09mm).
Our junior stock ram Dalby Helix (PE 7017) remains exactly the same as last year at 413 but his accuracy figure has increased due to the inclusion of his progeny in the index.
Our other high index Dalby Geraboam (PE 6163) now has an index of 397 and this gives us 3 stock rams out of the top 13 in the breed.
Also most pleasing was the continued strengthening of the index of Rockvilla Golden Promise who now moves up to 343, a gain of some 60 points on the year.
